Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, also known as “Fightertown East,” is located in Beaufort, South Carolina and is among the U.S. military’s most important installations. MCAS Beaufort is home to seven Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornet fighter-attacker squadrons. Today, Beaufort MCAS hosts all active duty USMC F/A-18 air operations on the East Coast. The base’s mission is to provide the Marine Aircraft Group 31 with support as an operational base. The Marine Aircraft Group 31 conducts anti-air-warfare and offensive air support operations at MCAS Beaufort.

Navy E-7 was charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault following a night of partying with his female Division Officer and other junior Sailors. His Division Officer alleged that he sexually assaulted her while she was substantially incapacitated due to intoxication.
