Altus AFB is an United States Air Force base located northeast of Altus, Oklahoma Established in 1943, the base now supports 2,000 permanent military personnel. With the help of host 97 AMW, Altus AFB provides high-quality combat-ready aircrew members for the United States Air Force through quality training. The 97th is ready to deploy approximately 500 mobility personnel all over the world and in a moment’s notice in response to any threat to national interests.
