MCRD Parris Island, SC

Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island is a military installation situated in Port Royal, South Carolina. The purpose of this installation is to train enlisted Marines. Female recruits across the entire United States and male recruits east of the Mississippi River are sent to MCRD Parris Island for initial training. The base is home to the Recruit Training Regiment, Support Battalion, Headquarters and Service Battalion, Weapons and Field Training Battalion, and the 6^th Marine Corps District.  Parris Island is considered a U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Navy E-7 was charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault following a night of partying with his female Division Officer and other junior Sailors. His Division Officer alleged that he sexually assaulted her while she was substantially incapacitated due to intoxication.
