SOUTH: Air Force E-5 received Statement of Reasons alleging multiple instances of fraudulent banking transactions.  JAG Defense assisted Staff Sergeant in preparing a response that mitigated potential concerns with financial activities.  Security clearance retained.

JAPAN:  Assisted Marine Corps Captain complete an SF-86 during periodic reevaluation that required disclosure of previously undisclosed DUI that occurred over six (6) years prior.  JAG Defense helped to mitigate any potential concerns the investigators might have with these disclosures.  Security clearance retained.

MIDATLANTIC:  Navy E-6 received Supplemental Information Request regarding alleged involvement in blackmail scam and resulting nonjudicial punishment.  JAG Defense assisted client with response that provided requested information and explanation that mitigated adjudicator’s potential concerns.   TS/SCI clearance retained.

Mental Health and Alcohol Abuse

SOUTH:  Assisted military member complete an SF-86 during a periodic reevaluation that required proper disclosure of voluntary hospitalization for a mental health condition and cessation of alcohol use.  JAG Defense helped to mitigate any potential concerns the investigators might have with these disclosures.  Security clearance retained.

Failed to Report Domestic Violence Arrests

Civil servant received a Statement of Reasons after allegedly failing to disclose two (2) previous domestic-related arrests on SF-86.  JAG Defense assisted client to demonstrate that the failure to disclose the first arrest had been unintentional and the second incident had not resulted in arrest.  The Response successfully mitigated potential concerns about client trustworthiness, judgment and reliability.  Security clearance granted.

MIDATLANTIC:  Marine Corps E-4 received Statement of Reasons after disclosing one-time prior drug use on an SF-86.  We assisted the Corporal to demonstrate that this drug use was a singular lapse in judgement that was self-disclosed, and successfully mitigate adjudicator’s concerns that this drug use was a security concern.  Secret clearance retained.
