Holloman AFB, NM

Holloman AFB is a United States Air Force Base located near Alamogordo, New Mexico in the Tularosa Basin, and between the Sacramento and San Andres mountains. Holloman AFB was built in 1942 and named after Col. George V. Holloman, who pioneered the guided missile research. Holloman is part of the Air Combat Command and is home to the 49th Wing. As the host wing, the 49th Wing deploys in order to supports peacetime and wartime contingencies and national security. The World’s longest and fastest high-speed test track is located at Holloman AFB.
