NAS Barbers Point, HI

Naval Air Station Barbers Point is located in Kapolei, Hawaii and is also called John Rodgers Field. The Air Station closed in the early 1990’s by the Base Realignment and Closure, and reopened in 1999 as Kalaeloa Airport. The Navy aircraft and P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft assigned to squadrons of Patrol Wing Two which were located on NAS Barbers Point were relocated to what is now Marine Corps Base Hawaii. However, the Coast Guard Air Station stayed at Barbers point after the Navy left. Today the Naval Air Museum Barbers Point and a collection of aircraft remain on the base as a preservation of history.
